quotes from my articulate little 3 yr old ...
Today Selah told me that now that Temple is eating baby food, she's turning into a human. :)
A few days ago we were talking about country names and I told her there is a country named Jordan that people live in. She said "you mean, people live in my cousin Jordan the way that Jesus lives in my heart?" well, not exactly. She also told me that Jordan got tall and ugly because he eats too much salt for breakfast. Sorry, Jordo. (I did remind her that Jordan is not ugly and that's not nice to say)
The Jesus in her heart thing gets a little confusing. She knows that Uncle Al and Mimi are in heaven with Jesus, and that by default they must be in her heart too, since Jesus is in her heart.
She also told me after we were on the airplane that she got to see where Jesus lives, way up in the clouds. I love that :)
She always talks about how she wants to grow up, go to college, get married. She asked her dad to marry her the other day, but he told her that he was already married to mommy, so she would have to find someone else.
Selah is very excited at the thought of going into the 4-yr old class (taught by miss kim) at preschool next year. She woke me up yesterday morning, showed me her foot and said, "are my feet big enough that I can go to Miss Kim's class now?"
But she reminds us that she will always "be our little girl" trying to make me cry I see! She also asks who will be the baby when Temple grows up. more tears from mommy...
As for her grandparents, she reminds Grandpa to turn those hearing aids up! And she tells Poppi not to worry, that she'll be by his side, and pick a good nursing home for him one day. And that she'll hug/kiss him on wednesday. (not today)
Reflecting on her trip, she was telling me that Aunt Ralissa (Larissa) is her favorite aunt because she looked so cute in her wedding dress. And she retold me the story of how Ralissa washed her pink underwear with her white clothes and it turned everything pink.
She has such a funny memory of things. She like to tell the story of how she broke her arm when she was little, confusing the fact that it was me who broke my arm when she was little.
That's all I can think of for now, more to come later...
